Bloodlines or dialysis bloodlines are used for transfer of fluids from or in to the patients’ body in procedures such as hemodialysis, blood transfusion, transfusion medicine, IV fluid administrations etc. Bloodlines, are also called as blood tubing set, are required for every hemodialysis procedure. Bloodlines play crucial role of connecting the patient to the hemodialysis machine. The blood is drawn from the patient and pumped through the bloodlines to the hemodialysis machine, where the blood is removed of impurities in the dialyzer. The purified blood is then pumped out of the hemodialysis machine, through the bloodlines back into the patient vein.
